In our latest project, we converted a standard garage into a modern downstairs toilet and utility room, complete with a sink and washer/dryer. This transformation not only enhanced the property’s utility but also seamlessly integrated with the home’s overall aesthetic.

Project Overview

The project involved several key steps to ensure a high-quality finish and functionality. Here’s a breakdown of what we accomplished:

Drainage Installation: To accommodate the new toilet, we installed a comprehensive drainage system. This required digging up the existing block-paved driveway, which was carefully re-laid to maintain the property’s exterior appeal.
Garage Conversion: The garage was securely bricked up to create a defined space. We installed two A-rated UPVC windows, ensuring energy efficiency and natural light, which brightened up the previously dark area.

Interior Finishing Touches

To ensure a polished look throughout, we plastered both the kitchen and the newly converted garage space with an ultra-smooth finish. This not only enhances the aesthetic but also prepares the walls for painting and decoration.

Kitchen Redesign: As part of the project, we took the opportunity to redesign the kitchen for a more spacious layout.
Modern Kitchen Installation: A modern fitted kitchen in a light dove grey shaker style was installed, complemented by brushed chrome electrical fronts. This combination offers a blend of elegance and practicality.
Flooring and Skirting: The project also included the installation of new skirting boards to provide a clean finish. We chose a luxury wood-effect herringbone LVT flooring, adding warmth and sophistication to the space.
